Northview Middle School
Ankeny is a city of 40,000 located north of Des Moines. The city is an urban center for light industry and agri-business. Northview Middle School includes approximately 1,125 students in grades 8-9.

Classes in the core areas include English 9, Algebra I, Algebra I Lab, Honors Geometry, Physical Science, and World Cultures. Other required classes are Advisement, PE, Health, and Technology skills. Northview Middle School also offers a number of elective courses for 9th grade students. They include French I and II, Spanish I and II, Chorus, Instrumental Music, 2-D and 3-D Art, Introduction to Communication, Fashion Merchandising, Foods and Nutrition, Module Technology, Multi-Media Production, Publications, Reading, and Ankeny Extended Learning Program.

Clubs and Organizations at Northview include Debate, Model UN, Large Group Speech, Individual Events Speech, Student Leadership Committee, Morning Strength Training, Art Club, Drama, Jazz Band, Show Choir, Cheerleading, and Science/Tech Club.
Sports
All athletes must have a physical before they can participate in athletics.
